Call of Duty
Zombies
A cooperative survival mode that became one of the most famous parts of the franchise.
What Is Zombies Mode?
Zombies mode is a cooperative survival mode where players fight waves of undead enemies. The goal is usually to survive as long as possible while earning points, buying weapons, opening doors, and unlocking new areas of the map. Players must work together because the waves become harder over time. Communication, teamwork, and smart use of resources are important parts of surviving.
The mode became popular because it offered something different from regular multiplayer. Instead of fighting other players, everyone works together against a common threat. Zombies maps often include mystery boxes, perks, traps, Easter eggs, and hidden story elements. These features give players reasons to replay maps and search for secrets beyond simply surviving rounds.
The Moon Map
The Moon map is one of the most memorable Zombies experiences because of its space setting and unique gameplay features. Players fight zombies in low gravity while exploring a research facility on the moon. The map includes special areas, unusual movement, and a different atmosphere compared to more traditional Zombies locations. Its setting makes it stand out as one of the most creative maps in the series.
Zombies mode has become a major reason many players enjoy Call of Duty. For some fans, Zombies is just as important as campaign or multiplayer. It combines action, survival, mystery, and teamwork into one mode. Because of this, Zombies has built its own fan community and continues to be one of the most recognizable parts of the Call of Duty franchise.
